Feeding the Monkey!
Nursery Rhyme – 5 Little Monkeys
To start the day, we danced to a Monkey themed Nursery Rhyme called 5 Little Monkeys.
Sensory Activity – Playing with Orbeez!
Who loves bananas?
Monkeys!!!
Today we explored monkeys as they too, live in the jungle. We found a bunch of banana’s hidden in a sensory bin filled with Orbeez. Banana’s are a monkey’s favourite food.
Creative Activity – Making a Parrot!
Each child made a unique and beautiful parrot, using different coloured crayons and feathers.
Learning through story-telling:
Noisy Parrot
We learned about parrots and the sound that they make.
We also learned about exercising good manners by saying: “Please” and “Sorry” as well as the importance of friendship and being there for one another.

Gentle Reminder –
For the children to be able to attend the outing, they have to bring a signed consent as well as €5 in a small envelope by not later than Wednesday 25th March.

Outing to Buskett
Animal Cracker Parfait Recipe
Ingredients:
- Animal crackers
- 1 ripe banana
- 1 yogurt (any flavour)
- 1 clear container
- A rolling pin
Steps:
- First crush some animal crackers in a plastic bag. You can either use a rolling pin or anything containing a flat surface. (E.g, We used a plastic container)
- Put the crushed crackers in the container.
- Then, add 2 scoops of your favourite yogurt to the container.
- Cut the banana into slices, carefully using a knife.
- Finally, add have a sliced banana in the container.
- You can also top it off with some more animal crackers.
- Enjoy!
